Adding Stake Auditor

#1

Post by artlong »

Hello all, New to stake technology Network Engineer by trade for 12 years. I am being asked to setup someone to be an auditor in MLS and update it so they can login to the finance portal for auditors from home. Someone else created an account for the auditor and I ran the update from mls a few times, MLS confirmed the updating procedure as sucessful but a week later and he can still not login. Previous stake tech specialist who has been handling it for years and years is on a mission in France. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Art

The login on most all website is the LDS Account and has absolutely no relationship to the MLS login.

Access is determined by placing a member in the correct standardized calling in MLS.

Off hand I don't know what is available to Auditors, but what I've outlined is all you can do.

If you want to check, you can look in cdol.lds.org to make sure the auditor is showing up. Once it's there, give it a day or so for the other systems to grant access.

Thanks for the quick reponse, when I log into cdol its blank. Is there a field I'm missing. I do see the search on the right side.. I can search for his name and find him, but dont see anything related to auditor, so I guess I will print out the standardized calling information and then go to the stake center tomorrow and check on it.

If you search on your stake then from the stake page you can click on show all positions to see what callings HQ has for your stake. In your case I don't see any auditor related callings in your stake.

Looking at my test install of MLS, you can find "Stake Auditor" and "Stake Audit Committee Chairman" under "Other Callings". IIRC, you will need a sustained date (or at least month/year) to enter the calling. You may need to allow for about a day after the send/receive before it shows up in the CDOL.

I should note that it used to be that callings in MLS was just a nicety for producing reports. However, it's now the new procedure for giving member access to different resources - as well as showing callings in the new directory. If the callings in MLS are not up to date, you might want to make it a priority to rectify that. Not just at the stake level, but at the ward level as well.

In MLS at the stake, enter him as a Stake Auditor under the Other Callings menu. Do a Send/Receive. His name should update to CDOL in the early hours of the morning, and he should be able to login to the Auditing site the following day using his LDS Account login.

Also at the same time, make sure that your Stake Audit Committee Chairman (a counselor in the stake presidency) is entered in the Chairman position the same way in Other Callings, or he will not be able to sign the audits, either.

Thanks too all, I had to do from MLS a File > Request Unit Refresh Data twice, and then a send/recieve 4 or 5 times. The Auditor and Commitee Chair are finally showing up in CDOL. So I guess they should be able to login by tomorrow sometime?

Thanks again...Art

Currently the process to move callings from CDOL to other applications runs once a day. It begins just after 6:00 pm. It looks like you got them in after that so most likely they will have to wait until Saturday morning to have access.
