LDS.org directory download

#1

Post by 411hacker »

I'm trying to make a webpage that can download and show the phone numbers and names from the directory on lds.org in my own format. I'd still be using my lds login and password but is there anyway I can access the mySQL and display it on my own webpage?

Posting of information from the church directory onto another public web site would be violation of church policies. Even controlling the account with a password wouldn't totally prevent the information from becoming public should someone hack the site. I'd recommend against such an effort.
Have you read the Code of Conduct?

Start by reading the Terms of Use at lds.org

If you use Firefox, you could use a Greasemonkey script to reformat the actual page. Since that only changes what you are viewing in your browser, it would not violate any policies.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.
