Event ID for Webcast Meetinghouse testing
Who can I contact to secure a valid Event ID for testing the Webcast Meetinghouse system? Is there an event ID reserved for testing or are they all unique?

Just like a real webcast, you can set up an event yourself for testing purposes. You specify the Event ID. Your unit ID plus the event ID become the key for uniquely identifying a webcast. So you don't need any help from anyone else.michaelfish wrote:Who can I contact to secure a valid Event ID for testing the Webcast Meetinghouse system? You can see details on the wiki at Send a Webcast.danpass wrote:Yes. Any 6 digit number will work. (IIRC, the Webcast Communicator will not accept an event ID consisting of all zeros)

I have only used the Meetinghouse Webcast Communicator device, which requires a 6 digit event ID. It is interesting to note that, according to the referenced wiki article, this is not true for the Webcast software. The only restriction mentioned in the wiki article is that the event ID must be at least 4 digits in length.
