LDS Mac App
Is there a LDS mac app for the new store that recently came out? If not is there one in the works? It would be nice if it could sync with the iPhone app as well.

What do you want this LDS app to do?
Do you want it to be like Gospel Library? That is all available on the web already. Go to http://lds.org and check out the Study column of the Menu. Syncing notes and bookmarks between the web interface and the mobile apps is in the works.
Do you want it to be like LDS Tools? That is all available on the web already. Go to http://lds.org and look under Tools.
Do you want it to be like Mormon Channel? Check out http://radio.lds.org/
I am not aware of anything in the various mobile apps that is not already available on the web.

Patience! The developers of Gospel Library for iPhone are working to make the highlighting and notes sync with the online scriptures <http://lds.org/scriptures>. I don't know if they plan to include notes and highlighting on other things like the Gospel Principles manual, but that would be cool, too.
So, the feature you request is being worked on, but I don't know when it will be ready.

Mac App
I too would like to see an app similar to the one on the iPhone. It would be amazing if they all synced together. I think the most frustrating thing about using technology with scriptures so far is not having all of your information saved. It would be awesome if it all synced back to LDS.org and kept track of what you last viewed, highlighted etc. If that is where we are headed I am pumped!

Mac app
Just thought I'd put my two cents worth in. I'd love to see the scriptures available as a mac app. There are many times that I use the mac without internet access. At those times it would be great to have the scriptures on the computer so that I'm not reliant on a connection to get to lds.org. Thanks much!

I would love to see an offline app for the Mac like LDS View or Gospel Library (preferably the former, but a hybrid of both would be nice). As it stands now, the only way to get gratis access to LDS scriptures on a Mac is to fire up a Web browser and go to scriptures.lds.org. Firing up Windows via Parallels is more hassle than what it's worth, and installing LDS View on Wine produces a bucket of fail.

I would like to see apps for both the PC and the MAC to have the same functionality as the mobile apps with the ability to sync all my notes/highlights/bookmarks etc. to LDS.org. I love all the tools on LDS.org but my laptop is not always connected to the internet. Our phones/mobile devices are connected to the internet almost everywhere we go but we use the apps because it is much more convenient to have a "hard copy" on the device. I would not mind just using my mobile device for everything but I prefer to have a larger screen while studying the gospel.subtlecoolness wrote:What do you want this LDS app to do?

I know that LDS view is available for the PC, which is everything that I would like in an app except it does not sync with LDS.org
