Bugs in Custom Report Criteria

#1

Post by mattvchandler »

There seems to be a problem in the report criteria for custom reports. I was trying to make a list of members with expired recommends or whose recommend will expire soon.
I used "Temple Recommend Expiration Date was in last 999 years, or Temple Recommend Expiration Date is in next 6 months". Instead, I got a list of all recommends that expire after today. If I switch the order, I only get the dates in the past.
Both filters work correctly independently.
I also tried with a few other date ranges and fields and received similar results.

Can anybody else confirm?

Also, some features that would be nice:
Allow more relative criteria, such as "Before today" or "After Today".
I would also appreciate a way to write SQL-like queries, as that would allow much more fine control.

What version of MLS? I doubt there will be any fixes for anything before 3.3.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

MLS version is 3.2.4
It's not a critical issue, I just thought it should be reported.

Thanks Matt, I can also confirm what you are seeing in Ver 3.3. Would you like to submit a bug report to HQ?

The easiest way is to use the MLS messaging system. Send your findings to Membership Support and they will pass it to the appropriate people from there. You can reference this thread if you like. Here is the URL...
