Ward MLS data not feeding to Stake MLS

Ward organizational data is not feeding to the stake MLS computer for one of our units.

Check and see if both units are on the same MLS version. Some wards have somehow "moved ahead" to a beta version.

By chance has this ward recently "moved" from another stake? There's a bunch of things that can happen there.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

This ward does not happen to be a YSA ward by any chance does it? We are a YSA stake and we get very spotty snapshots of the bishoprics in the Stake MLS' ward leadership report. It's always changing whose information it contains.

Also, I've also noticed EQ presidency information was not accurate. A custom report showed the correct info, but the leadership report would now. Even looking at individual records I could verify positions but the leadership report would not.

I've worked with LUS on both of these issues but got nowhere. Then CUBS came down and I focused on other issues.

One issue, just in case you are not aware, is the updating. The stake MLS membership records seem to only get updated once a month (generally the first Sunday). I've noticed this when activating temple recommends. The ward will have the record and the stake will not. Not sure if this may be causing your problem, but thought it worth mentioning.

That's not at all the case for me. Our stake gets membership records all the time -- certainly not just once a month. The stake has to have membership records in order to activate temple recommends. When a membership record is not at the stake level (because a recently called missionary has been at a student ward, for example), the ward requests the record, and the stake can see it within a day or two -- we definitely do not have to wait up to a month to have the membership record at the stake level. It shows up promptly in stake MLS, the online temple recommend activation system, etc.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

It used to be true that the stake automatically got an update only during the first Send/Receive of the month. Either the ward or stake could trigger a more frequent update between those first of the month downloads.

But I have found, as has Alan, that these updates now come down with almost every Send/Receive done by the stake. In fact, we have had cases where the ward requested a membership record, and then the stake received it before the ward did, because the stake did a Send/Receive after the request before the ward did.

I deduce, therefore, that the process has changed, and for the better.

That is good news! I knew it used to be that way and I guess I hadn't yet realized it had changed. Thanks!
