In what category should we list this expense on the reimbursement form?

My branch president paid to get a member's cars fixed. This is a welfare project and he would like to be reimbursed for the expenses. However, we are not sure under what category to list them. Should they be listed as "fast offering" or "other"?

I can't think of any justification for "Other". "Fast Offering" sounds like the best fit.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

The branch president should review the guidelines in Handbook 1 for providing welfare assistance. If the expense fits in those guidelines (which he really should have checked out first), then the category should be "Fast Offering". If this is a needy member, then I would think there is a high probability that this will be the right answer.

It definitely should not be "Other", since that is used for pass-through expenses where the money is provided by members for a specific purpose and then used for that purpose -- that doesn't sound at all like what you are talking about.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

I would think a combo of the two: "Fast Offering: Other" (as opposed to medical, housing, food or utilities).

Brethren,

Thanks for your input. However, I need a bit more clarification. I was not quite clear on just what we needed. We need to know which sub category under Fast Offerings the automotive work should be placed?

Fast Offering: Other, as stated above.

There are five categories:
Fast Offering: Food
Fast Offering: Housing
Fast Offering: Medical
Fast Offering: Other
Fast Offering: Utilities

Other is the best fit.
