My stake has just recently bought and has started to use the Church's webcast equipment.
We have the stake conference eminating from the Stake Center and have 3 buildings recieving the webcast.
I'm not sure what equipment we have to send out the webcast (such as camera etc.).
The building that I was in for our test of the system before this weekend's stake conference used the Webcast reciever and the other 2 buildings used laptops.
There were only a few problems that took place. The first was someone forgot their keys to the Stake Center, so the webcast started a bit later than scheduled. The second problem was with the laptops they were the only problems with recieving the webcast.
I'm wondering if this is because they were having a hard time connecting to the Wireless or is this something else. We used both a laptop & the Webcast reciever in our building and both worked flawlessly on our end.

Hi Allen,
What operating system were the computers running? If they were running Windows 7, please make certain that the URL begins with MMS instead of HTTP (example: mms://stream.lds.org/123456-123456, NOT http://stream.lds.org/123456-123456

I'm not sure
I'm not sure if these other buildings have installed internet jacks in/or near enough to the chapel that they would be able to pick up the broadcast wired...

The problem with wireless is that they are susceptible to any number of problems that can degrade performance. Problems that might not be evident during testing. With non-streaming media, momentary outages are not a problem. The web page is just a bit slow to load. With streaming media, any degradation, even momentary, can cause a problem.
There might not be time this time around, but if this is to be a regular thing, I'd highly advise working on getting a jack installed where it can be used. Just make sure you don't exceed the maximum length for the run.
