MLS 2.6f4 resolves some printer speed issues

#1

Post by srweight »

I installed the MLS 2.6f4 beta on the ward and stake admin computers. I received a call from one of the ward clerks that has been complaining about the very slow printing speed from MLS 2.43 running on Desktop 5.5. He said that the speed had been 14 pages in 8 minutes and 10 seconds and is now about 1 minute and 30 seconds for the 14 pages. Seems that there is a real improvement in printer speed if this report is correct.:)

Interesting ..... Try and capture the printer output, perhaps by printing to a "text only" printer. Perhaps they've dropped the graphical printing.

Use PCL5 drivers

For slow printing speed on HP LJ 1300 printers, download and install the PCL5 drivers. Speed will magically increase an impressive amount. Pages will fly out the printer (almost).
