CUBS Message Section - Humanitarian Aid

#1

Post by atticusewig »

In the FAQ it asks why the name of the Humanitarian Aid category has changed
and then cites differing accounting processes for domestic and international donations.

What is the new name(s) ?

Does this mean that there will now be:

Domestic Humanitarian Aid
-and-
International Humanitarian Aid ?

Are new Donation Slips being printed to accomadate such a change ?

Will financial clerks be responsible for asking donors which "level" they
wish their Humanitarian Aid donation should be allocated until such
donation slips are in circulation ? If so, what should be the default
should the donor be unreachable for clarification ?

Will there be any change to donations received to help with Disaster Relief
Efforts to natural disasters such as Tsunamis, Earthquakes, and Hurricanes ?

I don't know the new name, but I think this is going to be very straightforward. There will still be only one obvious category for Humanitarian Aid, and that's the one you will use. I see no reason for changing donation slips. Your other questions assume that there will be more than one Humanitarian Aid category; I see no evidence that this is the case.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

I read this as meaning that the accounting processes are different for donations received within the united states vs donations received from outside the United States. So donors should see no difference. This name change somehow just makes the handling of received donations easier/smoother for the accountants. I'm not anticipating any problems or confusion with this.
