Volunteer Translation Opportunity

#1

Post by jdfoote »

Hi everyone,

My name is Jeremy Foote. I am working with the Church Translation Division to start community translation at the Church. We are currently looking for volunteers who can translate from English into Spanish, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, German, or Russian.

Information about the project can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/ldscommunitytranslation. The project is part of Simply Serving (http://serve.lds.org), a site which provides online service opportunities for members of the Church.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Italian is on the roadmap - we are in the process of gathering a list of people who are interested.

If your language isn't on the current list, then please fill out the form at https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewfor ... eE10RHc6MQ, and we will notify you when we add it.

It's a little bit confusing. There are instructions at https://sites.google.com/site/ldscommun ... ng-started, but basically, you will need to add Translation on the Simply Serving page, and then add English to Italian to your profile in Lingotek.

The problem is that I can't find an "add English to Italian" field.
I set up Italian as "preferred language" and English and French as other languages.
When I fill my profile I found "Native language" (Italian) and "Language that you want translate INTO" (Italian again).
I expected to read "FROM" instead of "INTO".
Have I misunderstood something or what?
