#1

Post by kh7cp-p40 »

Trying to install Pedigree Resource File on our FHC Network.
The program installs mapped the pdfviewer on the server set the permissions can see the folder and all of the files. Mapped it as a Z: drive.

When I run the program It errors out with the following:

Drive Z:\ is no longer a valid CD-ROM drive
Please ReInstall

when I click ok

I get the following message:

Please insert a Pedigree Resource File CD or DVD.
Click OK when completed.

when i click ether ok or cancel I get:

Drive Z:\ is no longer a valid CD-ROM drive
Please ReInstall

I'm in a loop and no way out any suggestions

Hopefully someone can help

You need to call the Family History Support. Networking PRF requires a special program and a "key" to run it. I think if you browse the CD, you'll find the PDF document that describes step-by-step how it's done. But you'll still need that other component.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Program installed on the network and the Master Index is working great.
Alas another issue has come up:
When I try to use the Pedigree tab on the man lanuch page only one data base shows up CD145
And the program freezes up.
I get the following error in a popup window:
Codebase Error

Error#: -935
Error#: 91302
NullInput Parameter unexpected
