New Tremonton West Stake Formed - Website Problems!!!

#1

Post by crees »

Hi all

I was the Tremonton Utah South Stake Web Administrator and was released when our new stake was formed. Now that the new stake is in place I have been getting several calls from members in the new stake regarding accounts being unable to log into the Church site including myself.

Due to my automatic release (released from my calling due to the new stake boundries) I know I am no longer a "admin", however the new stake presidency and High Council has come to me for assistance because they are unable to get any help. I have given them the support number (866) 678-2763, and I hope that they can get the right person to assist.

Also, If any of you have any push or pull in the Church Unit Website please call or contact the stake President (on file) from the new Tremonton Utah West Stake and provide him with any assitance or updates. I will be more than happy to assist as much as possible too and if you want to call me you can reach me at 801-920-3397.

Thanks

I'm sure the biggest problem is that there is no web site for the new Tremonton Utah West Stake. That would explain most of the issues. I know that stakes have to opt in to have a stake web site. So the first order of business is for the new stake president to officially request that his stake have a stake web site. I believe he can do this by calling Local Unit Support.

It's interesting to see that there are wards such as the Tremonton 7th Ward, which have ward web sites, and which seem to be linked to the new Tremonton West Stake, but since that stake has no site, when you follow the link to the stake site, it says (correctly) that that unit's site has not been activated.

It would also be interesting to see how quickly the new stake is set up on the new site at http://new.lds.org. Since the stake does seem to be set up in CDOL, my guess is that the new site already works fine.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.
