Temple Attendance Percentage using barcode
In a recent meeting discussing ward goals with the bishop our bishop wondered if it were possible to get a ward temple attendance number.
This came about because we have a ward goal to increase temple attendance and the desire to accurately measure the goal.
Is it possible to request a report that shows a raw number of people from our ward that have attended the temple in 2010? (No names, just a single number)
I didn't think it was possible but I thought I'd ask here.
Thanks~!

Priesthood leaders can find helpful information on this topic on page 75 of the CHI, Book 1 [2006].macsense wrote:Years ago the Church ask wards and stakes to no longer collect temple attendance figures. I do not have access to the actual letter or notice where this policy was outlined.

Two possibles:oregonmatt wrote:No. It's not possible.
It's not possible right now for your ward to get a report as oregonmatt said, because Church leadership has decided not to provide them to wards.
Attendance figures may not even be compiled, but it's very possible to provide one if a different decision is reached in the future.

In our stake they actually announced in each Sacrament meeting (earlier this summer) that attendance at the Ogden Temple was down and we were encouraged to keep going (...just in case people were already losing interest in that temple while anticipating its complete closure and reconstruction). I'm inclined to believe that the temple president provided this information to our stake. But, beyond what was announced, I can only speculate.
Anyway, someone seems to be keeping track of attendance.

As lajackson surmised, I'm sure the number of ordinances completed is very closely watched, at least by the temple president. That's quite different than saying, "Brother so-and-so hasn't been in a while. Maybe I should call him up..."GregAnderson wrote:Anyway, someone seems to be keeping track of attendance.
