Hey there everyone. I am the new clerk for Alaska's Yukon Interior Branch, and I am new to this site. I am also new to being a clerk. Yikes! Just kidding! LOL!
Unfortunately, we do not have that many active members in our branch where I believe I will be burdened with what I've read will be my primary duties.
However, I do have one request and that is, how do I change the Branch's Location on the information page located at this link: https://secure.lds.org/units/home/1,978 ... 87,00.html
We are now meeting in the home of our Branch President here in Tok, Alaska. Is this something I can do from home or do I have to contact someone in Salt Lake who admins the web site?
Thanks for any and all answers,
YBC

There is an address field in MLS. To get to it, from the tool bar: Edit > System Options, select "unit" on the left hand side.
However, at one time I was told that information came from a database maintained by the FM group. I'm not sure if that's still the case.
At any rate, it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to call Local Unit Support just to practice calling.

Hi YBC,
The good news is: with a small membership, your workload shouldn't be too heavy.
The bad news is: with a small membership, you may feel like you don't have a lot of support/help/resources.
I would suggest you contact your stake clerk and introduce yourself (if he doesn't already know you). The SC can be a great resource for training, troubleshooting, and encouragement.
