My family often prints coloring pages from the Nursery Manual for use in FHE. Some of the PDF files look great on the screen but then print with large solid opaque black boxes where the text should be.
For example, last night we used the PDF from Lesson 28 of the Nursery Manual. The coloring pages are the PDF links on the far right (direct link). This PDF shows the behavior described above.
FYI, we are using Windows Vista and the printer is an HP-P1006. I also tried "printing" to CutePDF and opening the resulting PDF, which also looks great but also prints the opaque boxes.
Has anyone else seen this?
Printouts have Black Boxes?

Sounds like an issue with your printer driver. You may want to go on the HP site and look for a updated driver for your printer.
