Having issues with the wireless configuration

A meetinghouse just got Internet, went to BestBuy and got some LinkSys E1000 devices (on sale) and they appear to be setup similar to a WRT120N and WRT54G, but can not get the new E1000 to talk to my laptop that works with LDSAcess in other locations

Going to download the version 2 of E1000 firmware, it currently has version 1.0

Let me know if you have an E1000 working

Notes:
1) WRT160N has been replaced by the LinkSys E1000
2) LinkSys E1000 devices are on sale for $59.99 in sunny south Florida
3) DSL modem and Cisco 501 Pix are working

LDSAccess is the script for the Church provided WAPs. When you set up a network with something other than the Church provided WAPs you must provide the SSID and passkey. I suppose you could use the same SSID and passkey.

The biggest problem encountered when using wireless routers as WAPs in a Church network is that the routing function must be disabled. By default this feature is turned on for a wireless router. You need to configure the wireless router to only utilize the wireless capablilities.

Search the forums and you will find other threads on how others dealt with adding wireless routers to a Church network.
