Cannot get media player to open the Webcast URL
I can run the Meetinghouse Webcast SW Ver 2.1.0.1 just fine (see my video in the tool and such), but any time a launch the URL provided in the tool I get the Windows Media Player error:
"Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted."
I've tried this on several different computers with various Windows OSes (XP, Vista, Win7, Server2008) and various firewall settings (even Windows firewall OFF) and I cannot get past this error.
I cannot even get the URL to work on my local machine hosting/sourcing the video and audio. All the system tools in the Webcast software indicate video/audio and system checks are okay. HELP?????
This is for our Stake Conf next month.
I've tried the Stake Conf, Stake Conf test, and other EventIDs and they don't seem to matter.

Test feed doesn't work either
I've tried the test feed listed elsewhere and it doesn't work in Media player either:
Media Player version 11.0.6002.18111

Other URL tried and failed.

Has anyone got this working with Media Player 11? When you do the Webcast install it warns about needing to install the Windows Encoder. When you launch the installs link, it takes you to version 9.0 of the Encoder. Microsoft has release Encoder Express 3.0 recently for WMP 11.0.
I've installed both on the system and still cannot get WMP 11 to launch any of the URLs.
Again, the source video/audio appears fine with the Webcast software, but the URLs cannot be opened on any of the machines I've tried.
Help?????

New URL works from the church, but mine does not.
http://stream.lds.org/webcast2
This looping link works in Medial player, so I think it's setup okay now. However, I still cannot get the one that is originating from my setup.
I've verified that the video/audio capture devices work in Windows Media Encoder and they seem to work in the Webcast software. However, I cannot access the link that the tool provides from other computers.

Typically when I have seen this in the past it has been because what you were webcasting was not making it there. So it has been more to do with the encoding than decoding. I am running Win7 and therefore have WMP version 12 and use it every day without issue. Have you been able to successfully connect to http://stream.lds.org/webcast2 ? If you can see that in your WMP 11 then this would confirm what I am saying. Then we can focus on fixing that. Let me know.

When using the software in Windows 7, when you copy the webcast URL from the software and then paste it into Windows Media Player for playback, you may need to change the beginning part of the URL from http: to mms:. Example: instead of http://stream.lds.org/555555-142536 use mms://stream.lds.org/555555-142536. Please let me know if that works.
