Firmware Updates for Webcast Broadcaster and Receiver

#1

Post by BrianTAllen-p40 »

We have the Webcast Broadcaster and Receivers put out by the church (the hardware black boxes), which have worked quite good.

Can the firmware in these be updated?

Are there any updates?

A couple of things that would be nice to add:

1) A shortcut on the desktop to the software keyboard. As it is you need the keyboard to type in the command to bring it up... (chicken and egg). Adding the shortcut only works until you reboot, then it's gone.

2) The software for the broadcast should remember the last used unit and broadcast ID, so if you have to reboot you can just click the button to launch, without having to type in the numbers while 200 people sit there watching.

3) Is there a way to make changes "stick" after a reboot, so if you add a link to the software keyboard it is there on subsequent boots?

Thanks! Other than that they have worked great.

I called the Global Service Desk shortly after the 2.0 software version was released. I was told, not at this time, and no idea when it would be released. Hopefully we'll get some good news with this thread.
