I'm the stake technology specialist for the Suitland Maryland Stake. It looks like I will need to get Internet access for one of my units so that they can use this on the units computer.
I have a couple of questions.
1. Is there any special requirements (systems wise) to load ldsjobs.org? I'm thinking memory, hard drive, CPU and so forth.
2. What is the recommend download speed for this site to run efficiently? I'm thinking that a 1 megabits/sec download will be good, but should I perhaps think of putting in 3 megabits?
Thanks for letting me know.
Terry

Greetings Terry,
Best wishes.
There doesn't appear to be, as long as it's sufficiently equipped to surf the web gracefully. If you'll be using one of the older (4-6 year old) Dell Optiplex computers, I would strongly suggest upgrading the base memory from 256MB to at least 512MB (if it hasn't been done already), as described in THIS post.harddrive747 wrote:1. I think a 1Mb speed would be adequate for a good user experience, but if 3Mb is only a tiny bit more, I would certainly consider it.harddrive747 wrote:2. I'm not sure. Does it have videos? How many computers do you see using this connection at the same time? At minimum, I'd make sure I had a upgrade path for more speed. Once you have a connection, I think you'll have the family history consultants wanting to use it for teaching Family History during Sunday school.harddrive747 wrote:I'm thinking that a 1 megabits/sec download will be good, but should I perhaps think of putting in 3 megabits?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
