Stake Summary

Hello Group,

We, in the hinterland, continually struggle with the problem of receiving the monthly stake summary in a timely manner.

Are there any programmers out there that could suggest when we might receive our summaries electronically, via MLS, as we do with the CUFS?

This probably won't be available via MLS very soon because the electronic image of the stake summaries is very large as currently coded. There is currently a project to change the backend financial systems that will deliver these statements. I am not sure when this will be available. If you had to get an electronic summary as an emergency, you could call the LUS group and see if they could email one to you.

Thanks for the reply.

I have called LUS on occasion and they are usually very good about e-mailing to the stake president. Then I have to pester him to check his LDSMail account so he can e-mail it to me! If they would just e-mail it directly to the stake clerk every month it would solve my problem. As it is, unless I pester someone (LUS and/or the stake Pres) every month, I have to wait on the snail mail (and then pester the stake president to bring it into the stake office). Typically this process takes one to two months from the time it's issued until I receive it. It's particularly frustrating every quarter when the ward clerks are pestering me for their quarterly allowance. With the technology we have available, it seems like we could do a better job of disseminating information.

There, I've had my rant for today and feel much better.

Any reason that we can't access the Summary through the MLS, just as we do with the Financial Statements? The Stake President still has not received it as of Jan 24th. Any reason that the December statement takes longer to get?
