MLS 3.1-Standard Callings and Committees

#1

Post by dlcampnell »

MLS seems to have a committee structure capability-for example, Activities Committee. Yet I can't figure out how to attach a "Standard Calling" to this committee organizational structure. Specifically, how do you take the Standard Calling of "Activity Specialist" and make that calling part of the activity committee organization and not the default organization of "other callings"??

Unfortunately this cannot be done. Since MLS 3.0 came out, if you use the standard callings (as we are strongly urged to do, for many good reasons), you lose the ability to put those callings in any organization other than the one that is inflexibly connected to the standard calling.

You're not the first person to be a bit frustrated with this limitation; see for example this post, or this post, or this post. I also send an official request for more flexibility in organizations with standard callings during the MLS 3.0 beta testing period.
