My (now former) singles ward wants to stop using our yahoo email group to send out emails to the ward to be in compliance with church policy but we have many non-members and single members in family wards on our list that we still want to get our emails.
There should be a way for the bishop to add email addresses to a distribution list on the ward web site so they can get email announcements from the ward.

Yes, it should allow for that. One of the handy features of a YahooGroup is the ability to send only special notices to some folks, too. Things like reunions would fall into this category.dbutcher wrote:My (now former) singles ward wants to stop using our yahoo email group to send out emails to the ward to be in compliance with church policy but we have many non-members and single members in family wards on our list that we still want to get our emails.
