Calendar recurring entries - deleting one instance

I have a monthly recurring calendar entry that happens every month except July.

Is there a way to delete one instance without deleting all of the others?

(Other calendar apps I have used ask if you wish to delete a single instance or all entries when you try to delete a recurring entry)

Yes and No. If you create a repeating monthly event from January to December but later want to delete the July event you will have to make the June event the last event in the series and then start another repeating event in August that ends in December.
