Best iPhone LDS related Apps?
What are the most useful iPhone LDS related applications? I'm looking for scriptures, hymns, leadership/directory information and others.
Thanks for any ideas!

I'm not an iHead, but several leaders of my ward are.
To display ward and stake membership information from MLS for leadership use, they use Ward Tools (free).
For general-membership directories, some members use iWard or iStake (commercial). This is not an endorsement.
For scriptures, the Church is sponsoring a project to build an iPhone app.

Of course, don't forget 'LDS Radio' which is the app featuring content from the Church in audio form, as well as streaming Mormon Channel. Link is available on http://radio.lds.org/

For completeness, I mention that the MLS Companion application for ward leaders now supports the iPhone. From the description on the website, I gather that the main database -- which notably can include user notes and imported photos -- still runs on a PC or Mac. A copy can then be uploaded to an iPhone via a third-party tool called FMTouch. I have not used any of this, but it looks interesting.

There are also some mobile web sites which are under development. One is a ward list formatted for mobile devices. You can find them at labs.lds.org you must log on with an LDS user ID to see the projects there.

My new hymns application, LDS Hymns, was just released today in the App Store. It's a simple application that makes the hymns available with music (in PDF format) for the first time on the iPhone/iPod touch. It's free. I'm looking for feedback, so please let me know what you think.

I just loaded it and I am excited to have the full music as well as the words. The format is very clean and simple. BTW, I found it by typing LDS in the subject line of the App Store. This turned up several LDS apps I am going to check out also.Ricky wrote:My new hymns application, LDS Hymns, was just released today in the App Store.
