Is it normal within stake MLS to find occasional members listed without a ward unit assigned? Such a case in the Membership.csv export file has been reported recently by a stake MLS user.
A credible theory is that the phenomenon is associated with households designated in the ward MLS systems as move-outs.
One thing that is unclear is whether this is a new anomaly in MLS 3.0 or possibly 3.0.2, or if this behavior has always occurred. Is this behavior a bug in MLS, or is it happening by design?
Members without unit numbers in stake MLS?

When a record is in the process of moving between two units in the stake, it sometimes shows up on our stake MLS with a different unit designator, such as T17 or something like that (it has been a while). This usually happens when a ward moves a record out, and the stake does a S/R before the record is processed by CHQ and moved into the new unit.boomerbubba wrote:Is it normal within stake MLS to find occasional members listed without a ward unit assigned?

The difference between that behavior and what is being reported today -- at least in the export file -- is that today the Unit Number value is completely blank.

Another twist.
This stake MLS user is reporting a different set of symptoms: In the Membership.csv file, for a certain record the Unit Number column is populaed with the stake unit number instead of the ward unit number, and the Unit Name column is blank.
Also this user.
