Alex,
Welcome to the forum. In response to your question about access to the MLS download, I'd suggest that you contact your stake technology specialist or stake clerk for instructions. Computer maintenance is usually the responsibility of the STS.
You didn't mention what position you were called to. You'll find some helps for "serving in the church" HERE.
Have you read the Code of Conduct?

For obvious reasons, we're careful about giving out passwords on a public forum. If you check the old messages in your MLS, look for ones announcing new versions. You'll probably find the information you need.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I'm curious as the what the mess is. If it is the database, reinstalling MLS will not fix the problem. You will not receive a brand new, working database with the new install. Instead, you will populate it with your last backup, which will put you back in the same place you are right now.alextovey wrote:Please let me know as MLS is such a mess on our ward Computer. we have had for the last few years some members who didnt really know how to use a computer so im picking up the keys so to speak.
The best way to clean up the info is to actually go through and clean it up.

I think he wants to install MLS at home with the training data to learn as much about it as possible before going into the meetinghouse to get started making entries and changes. Or something along those lines.crislapi wrote:I'm curious as the what the mess is. If it is the database, reinstalling MLS will not fix the problem. I also recently had a need to download MLS for training purposes. If your STS can't help you with the password, try contacting your local MSR service centre. That's what I did and they were able to provide me with the required password to access the MLS download site.alextovey wrote:Hi everyone, just been called today and been searching online about what my calling is and what i need todo,
