Hardware shipping & customs?
Anyone out there know what the shipping and customs are for the xmit and receiver units might be? Doing a budget....

I assume you are talking about the hardware for Meetinghouse Webcast, namely the Communicator and the Receiver.
Customs fees are never an issue when you ship inside the United States. If you are shipping outside the United States, it is recommended that you request shipment from your local distribution center, to avoid such costs.
Shipping on these items is free for units. So just look up the costs on ldscatalog.com (you have to login as a stake unit to even see these items) and that's what you need to budget.

The price in the lds catalog is the full price that will be charged to your unit account.
Remember that you do not have to buy the receiver, if you wish to use a laptop instead that will run Windows Media 9 or higher. I do not know what the quality tradeoffs are, but I would suspect that, with a fairly speedy laptop, you should be able to do just fine. Our stake already has a laptop, so we plan to just get the Communicator unit and go from there.
