Report of Part-member families?

#1

Post by BrainClay »

Can you tell me if there is a report of part-member families in MLS? My ward clerk and I looked for that, and didn't see a standard report, but believe that it must exist. If it doesn't exist, it would be really great to add, as part member families are the goldmine for missionaries.

I'm not where I can check right now, but I think you can do that under the custom reports. Check the options for "membership status".

I haven't checked recently either,
but there might be list if you click
on the Detailed view of the Unit
Statistics, but maybe not.

Our ward uses a custom report that
uses member status is married and
spouse is not a member
or something like that.

Just be aware that you should also
check the Young and regular
Single Adult lists as there are often
marriages to nonmembers that are
often not recorded.

Thanks - this is very helpful - I guessed that there was a way to make a custom report. I think this is a report that should be standard, but I'll let everyone know how to create it in the meantime.

Why do you consider it a "desperate need"?

And my follow-up question - why just widows? How are their needs special when compared to widowers, singles, single parents, etc? I'm aware of the scriptural passages about widows, but that was a different time and different society. Today there are many who could be in a very similar state of need without technically being a widow. I would gently suggest looking at the needs, not the status. </soapbox>

That said, I'm sure there's a way to do it via custom reports.
