Stolen Checks

#1

Post by Brad_Hansen-p40 »

Hello,

First-time financial clerk here. Early this morning a member had their car broken into and two checks were stolen. Other than voiding the checks, what else should our ward be concerned about?

Thank you!

Before you void the checks in MLS, the first thing you should do is call Clerk Support and report the checks so that the Church can stop payment on the checks. Then they will probably give you instructions to void the checks in MLS. You can then issue replacement checks.

Thanks Brother Alan_Brown! They did instruct me to void the checks, then reissue.
