converting gedcom to sql

#1

Post by hapagirl-p40 »

has anyone come up with a way or "export method" to convert gedcom files to sql? I am currently using GedItCom on a mac running leopard which has a number of functionality enhancers including a "template editor" which allows the user to customize almost ANY function of the application. I also use iFamily for Leopard which runs natively in a sql"ish" framework. Unfortunatley, its database is unrecognizable. I even tried opening it in BBedit to see if I could make some sense out of it, but no go. Any help would be appreciated.

Typically it's done done as a file conversion, but it's up to the receiving program to import the GEDCOM.
