Electronic Area Book App Access for Ward mission leaders
First off I'm pretty new to this forum and a recently called ward mission leader. I know that several missions area using electronic area books on iPads. My question is: can ward mission leaders get the app even if the full time missionaries don't yet have ipads? I really want to do everything electronically and am struggling with 3rd party solutions.
Thanks, any direction is greatly appreciated!

Re: Electronic Area Book App Access for Ward mission leaders
Unfortunately the app isn't publicly available anywhere. Even in areas where missionaries use iPad area books, the mission leaders in those areas do not have access to the app. They only have access to the progress record on Leader and Clerk Resources (Leader.LDS.org). I'm sure there will be more integrated solutions coming for ward mission leaders eventually!

So in the Electronic Progress Record when you look at an Individual Person's page there is a section called Help Needed.
How does one enter in information in that section?

I believe only the full time missionaries are able to enter that information.Henry.Peterson wrote:So in the Electronic Progress Record when you look at an Individual Person's page there is a section called Help Needed.

I see, currently the missionaries in my ward don't know how to enter that info in and we're trying use less paper and use the app's reports instead.davesudweeks wrote:I believe only the full time missionaries are able to enter that information.Henry.Peterson wrote:So in the Electronic Progress Record when you look at an Individual Person's page there is a section called Help Needed.

They will probably have to get instructions from the mission office. I don't think anyone at the ward level has access to that apps that the church loads on missionary phones or tablets.

I figured it out. Since, I live in a country with strict data privacy laws they cannot use that function as it breaks the law apparently
Thanks for you're help!
