I am wondering if it is allowed to install MLS at clerks home since it would be easy to update from home and avoid travel?.

Aside from the fact that the policy prohibits it, you have no way of keeping the two copies in sync. You'd have one MLS database at the church and another someplace else. I would recommend that this not be attempted.

From my understanding, it's ok to install it and run the demo database for training or support. But loading the ward/branch data would push it outside of policy.
