IGI question

#1

Post by falisrm-p40 »

Does anyone know any statistics about the IGI or International Genealogic Index or how many ordinances have been done in the temples. I heard once before there were 240 million names done. Does anyone know?

Try going to http://familysearch.org and at the bottom of their pages is a "contact us" link. I would believe that you can ask your question of them. This forum is more technical oriented. :)

The IGI contains about 725,000 names, it is hard to know how many ordinances that represents because one record may contain multiple ordinances and there are many names where the ordinances have been duplicated. I don't know if it is even possible to get an accurate number of unique individuals who have had their Temple work done because of these conditions.
