Gospel library app login fail
I am able to login to all lds sites using my user name and password, but the gospel library app gives me an error when I try to login and sync.

Do we have any updates on this? I was logged in on my previous phone but just got the iPhone X and got logged out. I’m not able to log in to the app, but the LDS tools app works fine and can log in...

Re: Gospel library app login fail
It sounds like you transferred everything from one phone to the other automatically. Normally this should work, but sometimes app data doesn't all transfer correctly. You may need to delete and reinstall the app. If a regular delete and reinstall doesn't work, you could try following the instructions at the end of this thread (1–8), substituting Gospel Library for LDS Tools, to make sure you're reinstalling cleanly: https://tech.lds.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 8&start=10.jennyread wrote:Do we have any updates on this? Re: Gospel library app login fail
My situation is likely unrelated to the previous posts but it was an issue for me.
A few weeks ago, I decided to change my lds.org account password to something stronger. I even turned on two-factor authentication. I had no issues until a week later when I discovered that my Gospel Library app on my phone and pad were no longer syncing. I discovered that my login was failing on Gospel Library on both devices. Since Gospel LIbrary seems to be heavily based on an HTML rendering framework, I suspected that my use of a special character '&' in my password was the culprit - '&', like '<' and other characters are special in HTML. However, in the process of narrowing this down, before I could verify my suspicion, my lds.org account was locked - I suspect due to too many failed login attempts.
Password reset procedures do not unlock your account. Email assistance on my account went unanswered for more than a week. The email form said something about 3-5 business days. I am a clerk and I am also very much addicted to my Gospel Library app for daily study. I finally was able to track down a phone number to call and spoke to a very kind IT specialist who reset my account and I am back up and running! I am not going to risk locking my account again just to validate my special character suspicion. I no longer use special characters.

LDS Account login does lock out after too many failed attempts, but the lock out should only be temporary (I don't remember the exact length, but less than 2 hours).
