MRN is invalid, lds.org says I’ve selected to not be a member of the lds church??
My lds.org account is not connected to my MRN and says that I’ve selected to not be a member of the church. What is possible for me to do to connect my MRN to the account?

It doesn't actually say that you've "selected to not be a member of the church"; rather it says "You have stated that you are not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Change your membership status to gain full access." So if you are a member of the Church, you simply need to connect your MRN to your account and then you'll be able to access member-specific functions of the various Church websites.joshmalyon wrote:My lds.org account is not connected to my MRN and says that I’ve selected to not be a member of the church.
See the question "Why can't I log into the LDS.org directory, calendar, or other Church tools?" in the LDS Account Help.joshmalyon wrote:What is possible for me to do to connect my MRN to the account?
If you have followed those instructions and are still having problems, please post a response detailing what you tried to do and what error messages or other responses you may have received.

I'm attempting to add my membership record number in my account settings under "membership". I have the MRN and the DOB entered correctly, but upon entering the information, continue to get a prompt that read "Either the MRN and/or the Birth Date is not valid or the account already exists". The account does exist, as I'm currently logged in, but something in my initial setup isn't flagging me as a current member. Not sure how to update that and not sure how to get the site to accept my MRN. Any help would be great.

I'd suggest logging out and then on the login screen, click on the "Forgot your username?" link. Use the Membership Record Number (MRN) option to see if there is an account that's using your MRN. It might have been created a long time ago for FamilySearch and forgotten about.al_lewis_1553@yahoo.com wrote:"Either the MRN and/or the Birth Date is not valid or the account already exists".
