verification of new account
I accidentally typed my cell phone number wrong when requesting the verification for my daughter's new account. I can only find an option to resend the verification text--but not to change where the text is sent. How do I change where the verification is sent?

I have also done the same thing, fat fingered the wrong verification number. Now my daughter is waiting for her account setup, but I have no way of changing the verification number. Please help!

Re: verification of new account
I have seen an earlier thread where this issue has been discussed. However, my search skills (going to the 'LDS Account' forum, then using the 'Search this forum' box) are failing this morning to find it. If I remember correctly, someone with insider knowledge explained that a newly-created account that is not verified will timeout or expire automatically after 24 or 48 hours. Once that happens, you can create a new account, presumably with the same username if you wish.
Another option is to contact your ward clerk, give him the details (username, correct cell phone number, etc.), and have him contact the Global Service Center on your behalf.
You might find additional options in the official LDS Account support page. The first post in this forum
https://tech.lds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=30383
has a pointer to that page and instructions on how to get to a web form to send a direct request to support personnel.
