Can't add MRN

Church Account is the primary user account (user name and password) for accessing online Church resources. Church Account was formerly known as LDS Account. Can't add MRN

I try to put in my membership number and it states that there is already an account created. I cannot get to my ward directory without that number. How can I reset my account or allow my membership number to be entered and saved without it saying I already exist?

Odds are you created an account for something else - perhaps FamilySearch and forgot about it. At the login screen use the "Forgot username" link and pick the "MRN" recovery option. That will tell you what the name of the account is that has your MRN. If you don't remember the password, you can reset it as well with a similar procedure.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
