Granddaughter's Account saying member number or birthdate is wrong

#1

Post by wooodwkr »

I'm am trying to help my granddaughter set up an LDS Account. When we put in her member number and birthdate to register her it says that either the member number or birthdate is wrong, or that an account has already been set up using this member number. Any ideas on how to either check to see if any other accounts have been set up using her number or suggestions on how to fix the problem if there is one?

On the login page select the 'Forgot you username' link and then use the Membership Record Number (MRN) option for recovery. That should provide her with the account name (if any) associated with her membership number. She should also be able to recover or reset the password for that account so she can use it.

If that doesn't work and if she doesn't already have a copy of her Individual Ordinance Summary, she may want to ask her clerk for one so she can verify her membership number and make sure her birthdate is recorded correctly on church records.
