No gospel library app through Kindle fire

#1

Post by gasparin »

I can no longer find the gospel library app at the Amazon app store when using my Kindle fire, meaning I cannot download it. The other common LDS apps are there. Anyone else experiencing this?

I can't get it either. I wondered if it was because I have the newest Kindle.

I used to be able to get it fine, but it disappeared from my son's account. I wanted to try reinstalling, but it is gone.

I jusrt did this. Easier than it will seem.
If you use the sideloading option you can get it. In lds.org go to the mobile applications page, next to gospel library click Android, this will take you to ANDROID Mobile Apps. At THE BOFROM of the page is Android Sideloading. Click on the ldstech link and follow directions.

When you download click the show button and install the apk. You may have to change settings to allow installation of 3rd party apps.

Hope this helped.

Just got a Fire HD 8 and it has LDS Tools and Music and a couple other apps in the Appstore but Gospel Library said, 'not available.' When will it be available for this newest Kindle Fire device (just came out Tuesday)? This is a critical app as I purchased this just for taking to Church, etc.

Are all of you on new Kindles – Fire 7 (2017) or Fire HD 8 (2017)?
Are you able to get to the app by navigating directly to the app's page?:
Amazon.com: Gospel Library: Appstore for Android

I am having the same problem. We've had Kindle Fires in the past with the Gospel Library app on them. I just bought my kids the newest Kindle Fire and now can't load the Gospel Library for them. We have Amazon FreeTime activated for parental controls and this will not allow them access to any sideloaded apps, so sideloading is not an option for us at this point. Anyone know time frame for this being available in the Kindle store again?

Sideloading not working either for new kindle fire. Allows you to download but the install button does not work only the cancel button. So close! Anyone else able to sideload??

We have a new Kindle Fire 8, and sideloading doesn't work for us either.

This is the main reason my wife uses her kindle. Any ETA on getting this working on this device?
