Level of Access for User with Custom Calling

#1

Post by sperlein »

Our High Priest Group has a 3rd Assistant. We created a custom calling in LCR, and put it in the High Priest Leadership Group organization. When this 3rd Assistant goes into LDS Tools, he does not have access to the same set of reports and tools that the other members of the High Priest Group Leadership have. Is there a step we are missing to grant access to functionality in LDS Tools to this member of our High Priest Group Leadership?

No. Custom callings do not grant any access in LCR and do not provide any additional information in LDS Tools. Only a standard calling will allow him to see anything more than what any other member would see.

We have a similar situation. Our stake called a young women personal progress specialist, and they want her to have access to the same information that counselors have. Does anyone know if that is possible?

No, this isn't possible. A workaround could be to add her as the adviser for each class, since class advisers do have some access.

Only standard callings provide any access to any of the online systems. There is no other way to provide access.

Is this a stake calling or a ward calling?

On the stake level, there is no way to provide the same access in any area. The only standard callings in the stake YW organization are the presidency and only one person can have each calling.

On the ward level, you can give them a calling as an adviser or assistant adviser in each of the YW classes. This will give them have access to the leadership view of the Personal Progress site. There isn't a way to give them access to the information in LCR. That is only available to the presidency.

We have an assistant ward clerk and we assigned him, on LDS.org, the standard calling and he has no rights in LDS tools. Can you help?
Thanks

How long did you wait? It can take up to 24 hours for the rights to activate. Even then, I think he'll have to sync before Tools will work.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
