Looking for something else, I noticed there's a Help Center article for Online Donations - Canada. That strongly suggests that it's either open or coming real soon.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

That's good news. At a previous job I worked a lot with electronic banking transactions and one of our customers had a US and Canada presence. I remember there were some providers who did transactions with US and Canada using the same APIs, so possibly the church is leveraging the USA online payment system and making a few adjustments so it supports Canadian banking transactions, too.

The only catch to donations in Canada is that they technically have to stay in Canada because of how the charity status of the church is governed here.
I saw the article too and thought it was up and running but so far nothing is on the site that allows the access, guess i'll be writing 1 more cheque this month.
