Username and Last Name change issues
My account will not let me make a Username change, even though under the "Help" section of myLDS.org says that I should be able to. I also need to change my last name because I have been recently married and have change my last name.

Re: Username and Last Name change issues
I think you should be able to change your "user name" - that is the login ID you are using (SamHawkins27). You can't edit the last name that appears on your LDS Account, but that information doesn't seem to be used anywhere else.
To change your name on the records of the church, you'll need to work with your ward membership clerk.

Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Re: Username and Last Name change issues
I have tried to change the username, but when i follow the help instructions I am not presented with a way to change it. the only thing that the Personal Information page allows me to change is the name that shows up on LDS.org when I am logged in.

Re: Username and Last Name change issues
That's true for most people, but not all. For example, if you are considered to part of the "workforce" (because you are some sort of Church employee, or a particular kind of missionary or have some other calling with access to certain Church information systems), you are not allowed to change your Username. Perhaps there are other situations as well where changing the Username is not allowed.russellhltn wrote:I think you should be able to change your "user name" - that is the login ID you are using (SamHawkins27).
