NOTICE: Technology Manager (TM) will be upgraded on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 between 09:00 and 12:00 MDT (USA). TM will be unavailable during the upgrade, but it will be fully functional by 17:00 that day. The upgrade includes functionality for activating Cisco Meraki network equipment in Church networks.

Technology Manager (TM) has a new “Activate” feature for use in activating new network equipment, and for replacing existing Cisco firewalls. Facilities Managers will be notified when it is time to upgrade Church networks in their areas. TM also has a feature for activating wireless access points. TM can manage both Cisco and Meraki wireless access points on Church networks, so existing Cisco wireless access points do not need to be replaced.

I notice the new version no longer shows "status" on the main page (such as a firewall that hasn't checked in lately.)

I've noticed this morning that several of the tabs are greyed out. In fact every tab apart from "Network" & "Usage Statistics".

I know they were working last night, as I was also able to see the new "Activate" feature. I'm guessing that this is just a temporary problem. :D

Update

It is has been pointed out to me, that it might be necessary to clear the browsing history (cache) of your browser to see the changes to TM. In my case this was the Chrome browser.

TIP: Users should first clear the browser cache if they experience a Technology Manager anomaly. Doing so will usually resolve the issue.

SUBJECT: TM feature for callings in multiple stakes
Technology Manager contains a new feature for users who have TM-associated callings in multiple stakes. The feature allows the user to manage networks in each assigned stake. For example, a Stake Technology Specialist is called as an STS in two stakes. In the past a person with two STS callings could only see the network firewalls associated with their home stake. But now TM provides a drop-down list that allows the STS to select a stake and see the firewalls associated with each stake.

NOTE: Only users who have TM-associated callings in multiple stakes will see the new drop-down list. If a person has TM-associated callings in only one stake, then that person will not see a drop-down list.

Would this also cover Assistant Stake Technology Specialists?

The new feature should work for a person holding any TM-associated position in multiple stakes (e.g., Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Specialist, Assistant Technology Specialist, Stake Clerk, etc.). As stated before, since the TM code was updated, users may need to clear the browser cache to ensure they get the latest TM features. Also previously mentioned, only users who have TM-associated callings in multiple stakes will see the new feature.
