Building an Agenda and assignments for Bishopric and HC

I would like to have a preliminary agenda built automatically based on the reports that can be ran into an editable format for further editing. Having a sample agenda available to Wards and Stakes would help facilitate the remembrance of key items, focusing on the individuals. It would also help with the ability to have a sample agenda have an area for assignments and reporting to be made of the assignment.

Would welcome input from others as well. I realize that some of these reports may be too large to show on an agenda and may not be needed. So an even better idea would be an app that lets you say what agenda items you would like to build out the agenda and then you can add or remove items easily as needed.



QUESTION:

With the current REST api interface is it possible to build this out assuming that you can connect in with the credentials of an existing member with sufficient rights?
Is this something that the church has considered but stayed away from for any specific reasons?
This wouldn't be replacing Clerk or Secretary responsibilities, but making it easier for anybody to modify and agenda as needed and then sharing it out ahead of time.
Any recommended open source Rest client to interface with?

For security reasons, I highly doubt that any such development would be permitted by third-party developers.

You can place the suggestion via the feedback link in LCR, but right now I think the limited development resources are focused on moving MLS functions to LCR rather than creating new functions.
