Recording deceased spouse in Directory

There seems to be a disconnect between the Directory and the Member List - Though a wive is alone and listed as Head of Household in the Member List the deceased husband is Head of Household in the Directory. Can someone tell me how I can get the Directory to accurately reflect what is in the Membership List?

Make sure the spouse is properly recorded as deceased. If he's a non-member, then you need to terminate the marriage - reason: death of spouse.

There is some things going on that cause the spouse to be listed even if they're not part of the household, but I doubt if that's an issue once the death is properly reported.
