Hi
I have a question regarding a sister who is call as Ward Locality Specialist a PA calling that does not allow her access to associated web sites using her LDS account is this because this is not a recognized calling, she is also called as Stake Interfaith Outreach specialist recorded as a custom calling this does not allow access to associated websites is this correct or should the calling be renamed.

Custom callings do not allow access to anything at the LDS.org website. There should be a standard calling similar to Assistant Stake Public Affairs Specialist that would allow her to access online support for her calling.

Re: Ward PA calling web permissions
When I was stake clerk, several members who had been called to Public Affairs positions, or to serve in the Employment Center, asked me to record their callings in CDOL. I could find no way to do so. What I had to do was to follow the chain of Associated Organizations in CDOL until I found an Area level group who knew what to do. I sent out a few emails until someone told me they would handle the necessary permissions, and that the members should not have asked me to do something I obviously did not have the power to do.

At the stake level, Director of Public Affairs, Assistant Directory of Public Affairs, and Public Affairs Specialist are standard callings. The stake cannot go higher than that, so any with area responsibilities would have to be given permissions by that level, however that system works.

Re: Ward PA calling web permissions
Thumbing though Handbook 2, I don't know as there are any ward callings for Public Affairs. It seems to be strictly a stake thing. I doubt if there's anything against the stake calling a specialist to work at the ward level. But that calling would have to be recorded by the stake, not the ward.
So, that would be my advice unless you can find a standard position in the ward callings.
