The new gospel library for the scriptures on iOS is messed up. Can we get this fixed?
Problems:
1. footnotes are randomly messed up and not in ABC order. This causes problems when scrolling to the next verse, since the verses always scroll to start with the footnote beginning with "a." In short, if the footnote order goes DCBA or CDBA or BCDA, then the footnotes coming before A are all hidden above in the sidebar due to the auto-scroll function. It also makes it easy to miss the footnotes.
2. Scrolling sidebar for footnotes randomly freezes and will not respond to tap input.
3. Footnotes only display partially. On the lds.org website, if you click on a footnote and there are a series of scriptures related to the footnote, for example, Mosiah 1:2 (2–3), both scriptures are displayed. However, on the iOS version, only one scripture in the series is displayed in the sidebar. This forces the user to have to jump to the corresponding chapter in order to read them.
4. Highlights for footnotes after jumping to a chapter disappear when returning to the same chapter. When you first click on a footnote to jump and view the chapter in its entirety, (since the footnote sidebar does not display all the relevant scriptures,) you can see them highlighted the first time you go there. However, on subsequent jumps to the same chapter using the footnotes, the highlights that were once there before have disappeared.

One work around is to hold on the scripture reference you are trying to open and it will ask if you want to open it in a new screen. Hopefully this helps until it gets fixed!

If I'm understanding what you're reporting, this is by design. The primary verses will show, but the secondary (contextual/parenthetical) verses will not. So, if the reference is 1 Nephi 3:6–7 (1–7), both verses 6 and 7 will show in the sidebar, but verses 1–5 will not.MLarson1979 wrote:Footnotes only display partially.
