There used to be a requirement that someone be 18 to open an lds.org account. This helped keep a lot of mistakes from occurring
I've been told that you can be 10 years old now and have an account. I have also had whole lines of family disappear because
someone with less information inserted their ancestor into my line or merged my ancestor's info with theirs.
How do we encourage the youth and yet protect our family history
minimum age requirement for lds.org

Re: minimum age requirement for lds.org
Valid question, but I wouldn't be so sure it's the youth causing the problem.
I suspect too much of training is on computer skills and less on genealogical judgment skills.
