Ward Conference Sustainings Form
I'm a stake clerk, and the SP recently asked a question from the top of page 3 on the Officers Sustained-Ward form. It says "For your information, the following have been sustained or will be presented for a sustaining vote in the group, quorum, or class.* The footnote says all should be sustained in their resp group, quorum or class on conference Sunday. Is there a section of either Handbook 1 or 2 that makes reference to this sustaining in the classes on conference Sunday, even though sustaining has been done previously?
Thank you,
GRQ

Re: Ward Conference Sustainings Form
Handbook 2:18.2.5 discusses the use of the form at ward conference. The instructions on page 3 of the form say that the leaders of the high priests, elders quorum, and Young Women classes are sustained in their classes on ward conference Sunday.grquinn wrote:Is there a section of either Handbook 1 or 2 that makes reference to this sustaining in the classes on conference Sunday, even though sustaining has been done previously?
So, if sacrament meeting is first, we say "will be presented", and if sacrament meeting is last, we say "have been sustained". Remember that for these names, they are not actually being sustained in sacrament meeting. The person doing the sustaining in sacrament meeting is just letting the ward know that these other leaders either have been or will be sustained in their quorums, groups, or classes.

I believe you can find it in LCR. If not there, then in MLS.dnatua wrote:please we need the form or pdf of stake or district Officers sustained

I was surprised to see that now when the form is moved from MLS to LCR it has changed. The presidencies of the Aaronic priesthood quorums are no more sustained by the whole ward, but are moved to the part where the people sustained in their own quorums and classes are listed.

That change was made by direction from the First Presidency.nikk3hi3tala wrote:I was surprised to see that now when the form is moved from MLS to LCR it has changed. We would like to add a Word executive secretary assistant that will print out on the final form to be read. How is this done?

There is no way to do this. This form has been reviewed and approved by the First Presidency. My recommendation is to not make any changes to it.tomtwin1 wrote:We would like to add a Word executive secretary assistant that will print out on the final form to be read. How is this done?
